£6 million Trouble

I remember reading last year about Leona Helmsley, the Queen of Mean, dying and leaving £6 million to her female dog, Trouble, a Maltese terrier.

Anyway, that was last year and some of you may know that I was busy like hell the whole of last year that I had to put blogging on hold!

Just now, I thought I would check to see if the story is still on the internet so that I could do a post for this rich bitch, Trouble [LOL Sorry for the pun!] and yes, I found this story and photo on The Sun.

Can you imagine being SO rich that you could will £6 million to a DOG? Sure I love my two dogs but I think that if I were to give away £6 million, humans would have better use for it. As for my dogs, errrrr £1 million each would be more than enough! :D

Saved By The Puma

If you are a regular viewer or reader of National Geographic, you will know that the Puma can be an extremely dangerous animal. They are fast and furious. That's why reading this story about Daniel Olin is so heart-warming.

Still, we should know that the Puma is not an animal you want to mess with on any given day. This Puma may have saved Daniel's live but no one can say that all Pumas will act the same. Heck, wild animals can't be trusted at all.

Here is an excerpt of the story:

From within the branches, a pair of yellow eyes watched Daniel. The puma had been stalking him. A puma is a powerful cat with claws that could shred Daniel into strips. But instead of moving in for the kill, the puma approached Daniel and lay across his chest and limbs.

Knut: No. 1 Animal Story of 2007

It has been a tremendously long while since I updated this blog and I always felt bad about it because animals are my passion and I started this blog with good intentions in memory of a dear friend. However, time did not permit me to do more than what I could.

Anyway, now that I have slightly more free time, I plan to continue to update my blog on a more regular basis with wonderful, heartwarming animal stories that inspire us.

To revive my blog, I am bringing you the number one animal story of 2007 as rated by CNN.com
. This white baby polar bear is named Knut and sparked what CNN termed "Knutmania" that he was even superimposed on a Leonardo DiCaprio cover photo of Vanity Fair May 2007 issue.
